Artist David Plank "Birds of Missouri 1972"
Rick Jey pulls out an archive file of an interview with Artist David Plank of Salem Missouri. David Plank was first nationally recognized for painting "The Birds of Arkansas" and producing a book of such in the 1970's, then, produced a second book which presented paintings of "The Birds of Missouri".Since the 1970's David has continued painting and sharing his works through various venues nationwide. His works will be archived in the Missouri State Historical building in Columbia joining other greats like Thomas Hart Benton and more. Enjoy this interview which begins out on the White River Streak just South of Salem where the "Trail of Tears" found many Native Americans on their way...forced from their lands into Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and more.
